Douglas Denham, DO, CPI is the Chief Medical Officer of Flourish San Antonio, which was previously Clinical Trials of Texas. Dr. Denham is board-certified in family medicine, with more than 20 years of experience. He has served as Principal Investigator on more than 700 studies, with extensive vaccine experience overseeing the development of all three FDA-approved COVID-19 vaccines, subsequent variant and booster trials, shingles, CMV, pneumonia, and influenza vaccines. His experience includes Phase I-IV protocols, including first-in-man studies. At the University of North Texas Health Science Center, Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Denham earned his Doctoral degree in Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Dr. Denham was honored as an Outstanding Medical Researcher in 2018 by the San Antonio Business Journal and in 2019 for Outstanding Leadership in Clinical Research by a Principal Investigator Award by the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP). His site was named Best Clinical Trial Site by the World Vaccine Congress in 2021. Dr. Denham is deeply committed to the health of the San Antonio community and provides regular PSAs, media appearances and other educational activities. He also believes in giving back to the veteran community, of which he is a member, and served as the Medical Director for the Army Residences Center, a retirement community for that population for 10 years.
