Swati Shah, MD, completed her fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh, where she worked with world-renowned rheumatologists in scleroderma, blood vessel disorders, rheumatoid arthritis and more. In 2006, Dr. Shah moved to Jacksonville bringing a strong knowledge and passion for rheumatology. Dr. Shah is a principal investigator at Jacksonville Center for Clinical Research and her areas of interest include: Inflammation of Muscles NEW: Online doctor visits Rheumatoid Arthritis Fibromyalgia Lupus Blood Vessel Disorders Gout Clinical Research About Me My family enjoys traveling and eating good food from different ethnicities. I have two daughters who like to be on the beach out in the sun. I feel privileged to have worked with world-renowned physicians in scleroderma, blood vessel disorders, and inflammation of the muscles during my fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh. My philosophy of care is centered on patient education. I believe that if I can teach patients about the disease process and give good information about treatment options they will be able to make the best-informed decision. As not all people are the same, I strongly believe in personalized treatment plans, one size does not fit all. By spending time and listening to my patients, I am able to develop a relationship and they are able to trust me, and trust that we are making the right choices together.
